Pellet mill: Say goodbye to traditional farming!

The feed pellet machine (also known as the pellet feed machine, feed granulator, or pellet feed forming machine) belongs to the category of feed granulation equipment. It is a feed processing machinery that utilizes raw materials such as corn, soybean meal, straw, grass, and rice husk. The raw materials are crushed and then directly compressed into pellets.

Feed pellet machines are categorized into ring die feed pellet machines, flat die feed pellet machines, and twin-roller feed pellet machines. According to their purposes, they can be divided into small household pellet feeders, poultry feed pellet machines, small poultry pellet feeders, fish feed pellet machines, rabbit feed pellet machines, pig feed pellet machines, and straw feed pellet machines. Based on production, they can also be classified into straw feed pellet machines, wheat bran feed pellet machines, soybean meal feed pellet machines, corn straw feed pellet machines, and sawdust feed pellet machines. Various feed pellet machines are classified based on their appearance and production methods.

How to reduce feed costs while meeting the nutritional needs of various livestock and poultry has become the primary issue that needs to be urgently addressed by farmers and the feed industry. Feed technology involves softening feed through technical measures such as crushing, fermentation, and granulation, which degrades crude protein, crude fiber, and crude fat into substances that are easily digested and absorbed by livestock. At the same time, heating and fermentation also produces a large amount of mycoprotein, which becomes soft and ripe after fermentation, with a sweet taste. Granulation further increases the palatability of the feed for livestock, with the average levels of crude protein and amino acids increasing by 40.6% and 95.8%, respectively. The levels of arginine, cysteine, and histidine also increase significantly, and the sugar and fat content increases. Additionally, vitamins B, D, E, and growth factors are produced, which are then mixed with other raw materials to form complete feed. The feed is compressed into nutrient-rich feed pellets by a pellet feed machine, which greatly increases the intake and growth rate of livestock. This not only reduces grain input (each ton of straw feed is equivalent to the nutritional value of 270 kilograms of grain feed), saving feed costs, but also increases the income of farmers.
